Invensys Water Valve Hydra Water Valve
- Reliability - improved design and quality controls
- Versatility - new solenoid design expands the range of suitable applications
- Affordability - enabling product and process enhancements for Appliance OEMs
- Agility - global product platform enabling Appliance OEMs to source from global Invensys locations
The new Hydra Water Valve global platform from Invensys Controls delivers the innovation, manufacturing quality and reliability you need. This single product platform offers enhanced performance: which includes a new solenoid design in a smaller package to fit in the tightest spaces and standardisation of all component geometry so a common operating package can be used globally.
Technical
- Next generation solenoid provides optimal thermal efficiently with minimal footprint
- Double clip coil attachment reduces assembly damage
- Arc welding and spin welding manufacturing technology virtually eliminates field failures
- Large bleed hole reduces risk of lockages
- Wide operating voltage range withstands severe operating conditions
- Slow close action reduces armature tiop wear and extends operational life
Setting the Standard
for High-Performance Design
Next Generation Hydra Solenoid Delivers High Performance
and Creates Opportunities
The new, patented solenoid design has a low proile coil, providing optimal thermal performance in
the smallest available operating package. The valve!ˉs overall size is reduced by 6.5% in total volume
for common applications and 12.5% reduction in height from the inlet centerline to the top of the
valve. The smaller footprint opens up opportunities for using the valve in additional appliance
applications, and limits exposure to commodity market volatility.
Double Clip Coil Attachment
Double Clip Coil Attachment
Reduces Assembly Damage
A double clip coil attachment method reduces damage during
assembly by lowering the necessary insertion force. This unique
process also protects against lifting coils during operation, as
the pull force required is increased and more consistent.
Hybrid Diaphragm Geometry Delivers
Hydra Diaphragm Assembly
Performance with Flexibility
The complete global standardization of the valve!ˉs diaphragm
uses one common product geometry while retaining lexibility
to meet regional requirements. Already, Invensys Controls has
used this proven design to produce over 300 million parts in
the last 15 years. The heavy pre-load and unique snap it
requires less back pressure to close providing a distinct
advantage as it prevents internal leakage at low pressure.
