We offer Bimba cylinders at various types.
You can create a 3-Position cylinder from any single stage series of cylinder (Note: not available on multi-stage products). 3-Position cylinders simplify machine designs by eliminating the need for an additional cylinder to create a third position. They reduce space and the cost to mount multiple cylinders.
Bore sizes: 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3-1/4", 4", 5", 6", 8"
3-Position cylinders can be built with any single stage cylinders
Simplifies machine designs, eliminates additional cylinder needs to create third position
The micro-adjust option (MA) can be used to create an adjustable mid-stroke position
A variety of options are available to modify these cylinders to any application
Care must be used to provide proper air control valving and cylinder position performance
With the same distinct design as the original thruster series, including a black anodized body and precision re-circulating ball bearings, Bimba's “T4” provides ultra smooth actuation. At the same time, four guide shafts, instead of the typical two, double the load-carrying capacity and reduce deflection. T4 series thrusters are rated for pressures up to 250 PSI.
Bores sizes: 2”, 2-1/2”, 3”
Standard stroke lengths of 1” to 12”
Optional features include internal and external bumpers, air cushions, and more
Magnetic position sensing are also available
Custom strokes up to 36” available
Four guide shafts achieve doubled capacity and reduced deflection
Tandem cylinders can achieve constant velocities, even in slow speed applications, where air cylinders typically struggle to provide consistent velocity. This is accomplished by metering the flow of the oil cylinder. Since one cylinder is oil filled, you can control loads from a run away condition or absorb shock loads.
Smooth pivot operation, overhung load applications achieved by min. effects of gravity
Combine any series of cylinders in tandem for maximum design possibilities
Several design schematics available to accommodate many applications
Dual tank design for maximum flexibility and speed
Single tank design for slower cycle rates, reducing component costs

The new "Blue and Improved" Original Line® All Stainless Steel Repairable cylinder is ideal for food processing, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, offshore or marine equipment, energy production, or waste management applications. A bell ring design offers the benefit of full repairability without using hand tools by securing the body to the rod guide with a knurled, threaded nut.
Bore sizes: 3/4", 1-1/16"
Maximum Pressure Rating: 250 PSI
Composite FDA approved rod bearing and FDA approved lubricant
304 stainless steel body
303 stainless steel end caps, piston rod, and bell ring nut
Low friction Buna N "U" Cup seals and rod wiper
You can mix and match any series of cylinder together to create a “back to back” design. They must have the same bore size, and will be built as one unit that utilizes common tie-rods. Mounts include a full range of base, tie-rod, and head or cap trunnions for pivot mounting, or multiple mounts. Back to back cylinders provide positive “hard” stop positioning.
Combine any two series together for limitless design possibilities
Different stroke lengths can be provided for endless stroke position possibilities
“Hard” stops are provided with all four positions
Back-to-back cylinders are built with standard parts, reducing overall costs
Spacers can be used between the cylinders to allow room for side by side cap porting

Bimba Ultran® Rodless cylinders feature magnets on the carriage and piston that form a strong bond that holds them together. When the cylinder is actuated, the piston and carriage move back and forth as one unit. Common application uses for this cylinder include transferring product, feeding, opening doors, cutting, and more.

Composite self-lubricating bearings
Carriage magnetically coupled to the piston
Pressure rating: 100 PSI (air or hydraulic)
Temperature range: 0°F to 170°F
Mead Centaur cylinders are built to match tie-rod performance, but are up to 45% less expensive and offer lubrication-free service. Centaur cylinders are not permanently crimped like most other round cylinders, so they can be disassembled for maintenance. The Centaur cylinders are available with multiple mounts.
Bore sizes: 1-1/8", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3"
Teflon® piston seal eliminates forward lurch that occurs when rubber seals breakaway
Flush bottom cylinder mounts directly onto a base plate with only two bolts
The pivot bracket is built-in for easy pivoting at the inlet axis
Centaur's trunnions serve both as mounts and as assembly elements
Rubber bumpers are built into each cylinder head to eliminate the metallic "clank"
