Limitorque actuator
Limitorque valve control solutions have been making control easier at the field-device level for over 80 years. Limitorque actuators drive multi-turn and quarter-turn industrial valves and dampers, day after day, year after year, using conventional and advanced technologies to reduce costs and increase operating efficiencies for customers.
Features Rugged cast iron gear housings Ball bearing supported bevel pinion and bevel gears Removable, bronze alloy stem nut for mating to the valve stem Adaptable to Flowserve Limitorque electric actuators
Features
Aluminum and ductile iron housings offer durability
Available in weatherproof, submersible, and explosionproof construction for the most demanding environments
Anti-friction bearing supported alloy steel worm shafts with bronze worm gears provide years of reliable operation
Manual declutching disconnects the motor from the drive train for handwheel operation. Automatic clutching to motor operation occurs when power is applied.
Torque overload protection
Position control via geared limit switches that are in step with valve disk position, whether in motor or manual operation
Actuators connect with most network protocols through the UEX electronic controls package

Misc:
Designed for any rising stem valve application but especially for choke valves and small control valves in upstream oil and gas, water and power applications, the Flowserve Limitorque QXM is a smart electronic valve actuator limited to a maximum of twenty drive sleeve turns. The QXM encoder is the same one used in the Limitorque QX. It employs system-on-chip technology, which permits redundant, 12-bit resolution over 20 total turns or an accuracy of less than 2 degrees of rotation. This redundancy feature is part of the B.I.S.T. (built-in-self-test) feature of the MX and QX.
QXM also utilizes the same brushless direc
