Four models are available for AC or DC input and voltage or current output. Each controller offers both dual set point and scaled analog output functions. The controllers are strictly analog in nature and are not closed loop motion controllers. Typical applications include web tensioning or dancer arm control.
Used for applications requiring accuracy larger than ± 0.030"
Provides 10 VDC to energize PFC resistive probe
Not closed loop, cannot hold position
Use when power source for PFC does not have 1 M Ohm input impedance
Use as source of fast responding scalable analog output
Ideal for use as a web tensioning interface
Combining NFPA dimensional interchangeability and high quality components, the HD1 series offers excellent performance and long service life, even in the most severe conditions. HD1 cylinders are fitted with a heavy-duty, Teflon® impregnated and hard coat anodized external rod bearing which ensures smooth rod motion while maintaining rod rigidity and stability.
Bore sizes: 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3-1/4", 4", 6"
Available with pneumatic end-of-stroke sensors (Inter-Pilots™)
Available with cushions for shock absorbtion
Available as double rod cylinders
Available with an oversized rod
Ten different mounts to choose from for most bore sizes
The Bimba Original Line Electric® actuator is designed, built, and tested to provide the longest life, greatest durability, highest speed, and greatest thrust per dollar. They are ideal for applications requiring greater control for enhanced flexibility. Many mounting, motor, performance, and custom options are available to suit your application needs.
Bore sizes/Thrust ranges: 1.5"/up to 75 lbs., 2"/up to 150 lbs., 3"/up to 350 lbs.
Non-rotating rod is standard with Original Line Electric® Actuator
Choose no motor, AC or DC stepper motors, servo motors
Motor, encoder, and driver available out of the box
Reverse parallel motor option conserves space
Screw accuracy: 0.0006 in./in.
Pneu-Turn® 3-Position rack and pinion rotary actuators are available in both single and double rack models, and provide three distinct mechanical hard stop positions, that you define at the time of order. The rack and pinion gear and ball bearings are pre-lubricated to provide extensive, maintenance-free operation.
Bore sizes (single and double rack models): 9/16", 3/4", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2"
Position feedback available to identify the shaft location during rotation
Low (-40°F) or High Temperature (+400°F) Seals
Integrated internal flow controls
Anti-backlash (1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2" bores only)
Magnet for position sensing
The Bimba Pneu-Turn® position feedback rotary actuator (PTF) provides continuous shaft position sensing. Standard features include shaft ball bearings and the elimination of mid-rotational backlash. Use the Bimba PTF in conjunction with Bimba's Pneumatic Control System (PCS) to achieve rotary shaft positioning accuracy within ± 0.5°.
Bore sizes: 1-1/2", 2"
Rotary potentiometer assembly mounted inside the actuator
Standard angles of rotation range from 45° to 325°
Pressure rating: 150 PSI (air or oil with "S" option)
Rotational tolerance: 0° to 10°
Single and double rack models have zero mid-rotational and end of rotation back-lash
Pneu-Turn® rotary actuators are manufactured using corrosive resistant components including 304 stainless steel gear shaft and cylinder bodies, anodized aluminum housing and end caps. Standard models include a self-lubricating sintered iron copper shaft bearing. Optional shaft ball bearings are also available.
Bore sizes (single and double rack): 9/16", 3/4", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2"
Anti-backlash rack
Standard rotation angles: 45°, 90°, 180°, 270°, 360°
Non-standard rotation angles up to 1080° are available
Many options available, including cushions, low or high temperature seals, and more
Magnetic position sensing available
With eight PTFE impregnated bearing pads and a hard coat anodized load beam, the PneuMoment® pneumatic actuator is capable of moving loads up to 700 lbs. and moments up to 7000 inch-lbs. (Application and bore size dependent). No lubrication is needed for the bearings, although standard air line lubrication should be used to enhance the actuator’s seal life.
Bore sizes for the PneuMoment® pneumatic actuator: 1-1/16”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2”
Standard stroke lengths: 1” to 15” (Custom stroke lengths available to 30”)
Maximum operating pressure: 150 psi
Auxiliary ports transmit air or vacuum through the actuator to operate automation devices
Available in U.S. customary units (inch) or metric
Built-in track for position sensing switches
