Smar pressure transmitter
SMAR was founded on April, 1st 1974 by Mr. Mauro Sponchiado and Mr. Jose Martinussi who took the initials of their names to form the company's name. First area of business was service steam turbines in sugar refineries nearby Sertãozinho, Brazil.
SMAR added in-house electronics expertise when electronic speed regulators were introduced for steam turbines in 1978. It soon developed electronic controls for cane cutters and crushers as well.
From then on, SMAR developed a line of process control instruments for all industries areas. SMAR had initialized its actuation in international market in 1988, when introduced its smart pressure and temperature transmitters to the world at the ISA show in Houston. SMAR had surprised the instrumentation elite in 1991 by unveiling the LD301 pressure transmitter that incorporated HART protocol, PID control and flow integration all in one package.
The TP300 is a member of the renowned family of Smar equipment available in HART® 4 to 20 mA, FOUNDATION™ fieldbus and PROFIBUS PA. This product line presents the TP290 version, also with digital technology and a 4 - 20 mA output signal.
The TP300 is a smart transmitter for position measurement, suitable for linear or rotary displacement or movement. Its digital technology and communication provides a friendly interface between the field and the control room, presenting features that considerably reduce installation, operation and maintenance costs.
The TP300 uses a magnetic coupler without physical contact for position measurement. For this reason it is immune to vibration effects and provides longer operational durability. The magnetic coupler replaces the mechanical connection a significant dead band reduction and preventing inaccurate results from wearing out by use. The TP300 may be installed in any equipment with linear or rotary motion and a variety of other devices such as skylights, dampers, rollers spacing, crushers, etc.
The TP300 also offers other advantageous functions in comparison to other position transmitters as:
•Linear movement range from 3 mm through
The Smar TT300 Series is a transmitter mainly intended for measurement of temperature using RTDs or thermocouples. However, it can also accept other sensors with resistance or mV output such as: pyrometers, load cells, resistance position indicators, etc. The TT300 Series accepts up to two sensors and may operate in one of the modes:
Single channel with single sensor measurement;
Dual channel with dual sensor measurement;
Single channel with dual sensor differential measurement;
Single channel with dual sensor back-up measurement.
The Smar TT300 Series is a powerful and extremely versatile smart temperature transmitter. The digital technology used in the TT300 Series enables a single device to accept several types of sensors, wide ranges, single or multiple-ended measurement and an easy interface between the field and the control room. It also includes several interesting features that reduce considerably the installation, operation and maintenance costs. The transmitter accepts two channels, i.e., two measurements. This reduces the cost per channel.
The TT300 Series is suitable for direct field installation, being weath
